Marthijn van der Wal (Sportparticipatie) en Dennis Rijnbeek (Marketing en Communicatie) en hoofdbestuursleden Peter Hanning, Irene Faber en Eline Rondaij gingen in gesprek met de verenigingen over de Coronacrisis, de impact en ontwikkelingen. Vragen zijn beantwoord, tips zijn uitgewisseld.

Update: ITTF input over schoonmaken ballen en tafels, met dank aan Piet van Egmond, materiaalcommissie NTTB:
“We are working on this topic intensively inside the ITTF since 2 weeks. A guideline for associations (A longer version and a poster) will be published within the next days.
It is a first version and will be updated with more information step by step. Because we + brands/producers must check which sanitizer are ok for the different surfaces. For ITTF tournaments we will test different sanitizers on different table surfaces with our new BBOT device to measure the restitution and friction of balls bouncing on tables. Samples are on the way to our office.
Ball: it can not be excluded that an infection will be transferred through surfaces. Means also a ball, or a table surface, can transfer the virus to another person. Not very probable, but not excluded from the experts. Therefore we recommend several codes of conduct, to reduce, or exclude the transfer. So that table tennis will be allowed from the governments and we can come back to table tennis.”
